The closing rate for the pound against the US dollar last time was 1.6265. This soon started to drop as it fell to 1.6209 the very next day. The lowest point was reached on the 18th as the pound sagged to 1.6155.

The last time we caught up with the British pound against the US dollar it had an exchange rate of 1.6405 to close out the week with. It soon started dropping in the new week though, with 1.6374 on the table just one day into it.

The last time we saw the British pound go up against the US dollar, we had a small increase to appreciate. This left the pound on 1.6664. The first day of the new week looked good as we went further to 1.6685, but the next day saw a drop to 1.6478.

The previous week was a good one for the pound, finishing on 1.6548 against the US dollar. Next time the markets got up and running this improved to 1.6495. Even though all eyes were on the wedding on Friday 29th, there was time enough to appreciate the leap up to 1.6664 by the end of the week.

Last time we finished on 1.6349 against the US dollar, but could we improve on that now? We dropped back to 1.6267 on the first day of trading, and there was only a marginal increase back to 1.6289 the following day.

The last rate we saw for the pound against the US dollar was 1.6347. But the only way was down initially, as we dropped to a weekly low of 1.6286. This occurred on Tuesday evening, so at least we know that things got better after that.

Last time on the currency converter we saw the British pound was worth 1.6041 against the US dollar at the close of the week. By the end of day one things had improved until the pound was on 1.6164. But this was thankfully not the end of the improvements.

Moving on to Hong Kong now, we were eager to improve on the starting figure of 12.533. Unfortunately it was not to be. We dipped back once more before improving again to 12.510, but that would be as good as it got.

We certainly perked things up on the first day of the new week, finishing the day on 1.6108 in the process. The following day then saw a drop back to 1.6006, so it looked doubtful as to how the rest of the week would shape up.
